TITLE: HR Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
LOCATION: U.S. Virgin Islands
REPORTS TO: HR Manager/Director

PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting the HR Manager/Director in overseeing and facilitating the Human Resources function on the warehouse level in-country.

PREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Assist HR Manager/Director in planning, organizing and controlling of all projects and activities of the department
  • Administers Human Resources projects
  • Implements Policies and Procedures for all warehouse personnel
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non exempt personnel
  • Organizes New Hire Orientations, drug testing, reference and background checks
  • Maintains and applies Employee Handbook and Warehouse Policies and Procedures Manuals
  • Establishes and maintains department records, employee files and reports
  • Performs benefits administration and Workmen’s Compensation claims
  • Monitor Payroll Process to ensure compliance
  • Assist in facilitating all in-country employee/management trainings
  • Assist in securing necessary Work Permits or Visas of incoming expatriates and employees
  • Assist with annual updates of compensation programs
  • Monitoring of Performance Evaluation Program
  • Responsible for working with the various ministries and/or local counsel, Economic Department, Labor Department to ensure compliance
  • Assist with employee incentive, moral-building events and programs

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

Note: These areas of experience cover all aspects of the position. No one candidate is expected to meet all the qualifications below. However, preference will be given to the candidates based on how well they meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably
  • Knowledge of country specific Employee/Labor Relations Rules and Regulations
  • Three years of Human Resource fundamentals and employee relations
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
  • Able to travel as required
