TITLE: Employee Relations Manager
LOCATION: Miami, FL
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time

PURPOSE:
The Employee Relations Manager is a tactical HR partner, responsible for providing dedicated HR consultation and support to the Miami office Corporate and Warehouse Distribution Center employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages processes to support HR strategies and global HR initiatives
  • Manages payroll process, including data entry, processing of exceptions, reporting, etc
  • Benefits Administration: Responsible for new hire benefits entry, and day to day maintenance of current employee status of benefits, Cobra Administration, etc
  • Responsible for recordkeeping, department filings and SOX compliance
  • Manages Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation Processes, including data entry, processing related payroll transactions, reporting, etc
  • Manage Miami office open requisitions and job postings; pre-screens candidates and facilitates recruitment processes
  • Processes new hire paperwork, including drug screens and background checks; provides New Hire Orientation

KEY CAPABILITIES:
  • Abilily to mediate between employees during conflict resolution
  • Advanced ability to communicate with employees at all levels (both verbal and written communication skills)
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is ideal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

Note: These areas of experience cover all aspects of the position. No one candidate is expected to meet all the qualifications below. However, preference will be given to the candidates based on how well they meet the following qualifications:

  • HR Generalist
  • HR Degree and/or equivalent / HR Certification desirable
  • 3 to 5 Years experience at a management/supervisor level, including employee and labor relations, staffing, policy input/development, benefits, and problem/conflict resolution
  • Payroll systems such as Kronos
  • Strong Knowledge of labor laws; especially Florida Labor law, including AAP, ADA, FMLA, EEO, ETC
